The Balloon Seller is an alternative electronic duo founded by Gian Luca Maria Schembri (Jazzaziz), composer, songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist, alongside vocalist and guitarist Mark Prestia.
The project brings together electronic production, live instrumentation and a distinctive male voice, developing a sound that is atmospheric, restrained and emotionally charged. Analog and digital textures, deep synth bass, minimal hybrid rhythms, piano, guitars and carefully layered arrangements create music that feels intimate without becoming fragile, and powerful without relying on excess.
Jazzaziz shapes the musical identity of the project through composition, songwriting, production and multi-instrumental performance, while Mark Prestia gives it voice through his vocal interpretation and guitar work.
